Bank Fraud Criminal Defense Team FormedThe Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) announced that they are conducting more than 50 criminal and grand jury investigations of bank fraud former executives, directors, and employees at U.S. banks that have failed since the start of the financial crisis. This effort appears to be patterned after the former criminal investigation that followed in the wake of the savings and loan crisis a generation ago.
Meyerson and O’Neill has teamed up with Durant and Durant, LLP to form a team of experienced white collar business defense attorneys with extensive experience in grand jury representation and criminal trial defense. All members of the team have extensive trial experience in complex business litigation and grand jury representation.
The Durant firm has handled hundreds of securities and bank fraud cases, both civil and criminal. Meyerson and O’Neill has substantial experience in defending white collar criminal cases, including bank fraud charges, on behalf of individual and corporate clients who have received notice that they are a target or subject of a federal grand jury investigation. Both firms have been successful in resolving investigations without criminal indictment. Together Jack Meyerson and Marc Durant, two former federal criminal fraud prosecutors, have more than 75 years of legal experience in aggressively defending corporate officials and companies charged with a variety of white collar commercial criminal offenses.
